O.R.C.A. Community Outreach

Build Stability. Create Opportunity. Leave a Legacy.

A prevention-focused programme for young adults ages 18–25 in the St. Louis region.

Young adults building community together

Who we are

Built for the young adults who need it most.

Serving young adults

Ages 18–25 in the St. Louis region — including those navigating foster care transitions, juvenile justice, incarceration, homelessness and early adulthood without family support.

O.R.C.A. — Obtaining Realistic Community Achievements — is a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, community-centered organization committed to helping young adults strengthen the foundations of a stable and purposeful life. We combine structured guidance with participant choice.

Founded by two formerly incarcerated individuals who lived the gaps they now work to close, O.R.C.A. brings lived experience to every aspect of programme design.

Our logo carries two Adinkra symbols: Nkonsonkonson (unity and community bonds) and Fawohodie (freedom and independence) — together reflecting our mission to support, connect, and empower.

The O.R.C.A. Legacy Building Model™

Six pillars. One participant-led cycle.

The Legacy Building Model™ is O.R.C.A.'s original developmental framework. It organises support across six interconnected areas of life — and puts the participant in the driver's seat.

01

Housing Stability

Safe, consistent housing as the foundation for everything else.

02

Employment & Financial Literacy

Earning, budgeting and building financial independence.

03

Education & Vocational Training

Credentials, skills and pathways that match participant goals.

04

Health & Wellness

Physical, mental and emotional wellbeing as active priorities.

05

Relationships & Community

Mentorship, social connection and belonging.

06

Leadership & Legacy

Civic identity, purpose and giving back.

The TIP Programme

Structured. Individualised. Participant-led.

The Transition into Purpose (TIP) programme is O.R.C.A.'s 12-month structured pathway. Participants work with a dedicated coordinator to build a personalised plan, develop skills and move toward independence — at their own pace.

How we work

We begin with the young adult.

We begin with the young adult — not a worksheet. O.R.C.A. listens first, identifies what matters most and helps turn priorities into a plan. Every step is voluntary, participant-directed and built around real life.

Partnership

Stronger together.

Partnership expands what is possible. O.R.C.A. works with mentors, referral partners, education and workforce organisations, service providers and community supporters to build a network around each participant.

All ways to help

Every young adult deserves a real chance.

Every young adult deserves the opportunity to build stability, develop skills, strengthen relationships and shape a future they are proud of. O.R.C.A. is here to help make that possible.
